Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data Vivolytix collects through this website, why we process it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. We keep it plain and only collect what we genuinely need.
1. Who we are
Vivolytix is a pre-launch reproductive-analytics project. This website is operated by an individual (a natural person), not yet an incorporated company. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”) and Hungarian Act CXII of 2011 on Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information, the data controller is:

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as our processing does not meet the thresholds in Article 37 GDPR. You can reach us about any data-protection matter at the email above.
2. Data we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us, plus the minimum our hosting needs to run securely:
Email subscriptions
When you ask to receive updates, we collect your email address and a note of which page the request came from. That’s it - no name is required to subscribe.
Contact enquiries
When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, optional organization, the topic you select, and the message you write.
Technical data
Our server and hosting provider automatically process standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request, recorded in short-lived security and diagnostic logs. We use an anti-spam “honeypot” field on our forms; it stores nothing about legitimate visitors.
We do not knowingly collect special-category data, and the public website is not intended for children. Please do not send us clinical or patient data through the contact form.
3. How we use it
- To send the updates you asked for - occasional product and pilot news, only to people who subscribed.
- To answer your enquiry - we read every contact message and reply by email.
- To run and protect the site - keeping it available, secure, and free of spam and abuse.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we never sell it.
4. Lawful bases
Under Article 6(1) GDPR we rely on:
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for sending you email updates. You can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing - see your rights below.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) for responding to enquiries and for keeping the site secure. Our interest is to communicate with people who contact us and to protect the service; we have weighed this against your rights and consider it proportionate.
- Steps prior to a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) where your enquiry is about joining the pilot programme.
7. Data retention
- Subscription email addresses - kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Contact enquiries - kept for up to 24 months after our last correspondence, then deleted, unless we need them longer to deal with a legal claim.
- Server logs - kept for a short period (typically up to 90 days) for security and diagnostics.
8. Your rights
Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected (rectification);
- have your data erased (“right to be forgotten”);
- restrict or object to our processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing already carried out).
To exercise any of these, email info@vivolytix.com. We respond without undue delay and within one month at the latest. To unsubscribe, use the link in any of our emails or email us.
9. International transfers
We aim to keep personal data within the European Economic Area (EEA). Our email processor, Mailjet, operates within the EU. If any processor transfers data outside the EEA, that transfer will be protected by an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses).
10. Security
We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and storing only what we need. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep the risk low and will notify you and the supervisory authority where the law requires it in the event of a breach.
11. Changes
As Vivolytix grows (including if it becomes an incorporated company), we may update this policy. We will change the “last updated” date above and, for material changes affecting subscribers, let you know by email.
